Larry G. Baratta, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Baratta is a recognized leader in the field of wound and burn care. He has served as medical adviser to the to the chief surgeon of the Philippine Navy and lectures worldwide on wound and burn care especially in the Middle East, Asia and the Caribbean. Notably, he delivered a series of scientific lectures on wound management at the Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Philippine Association of Military Surgeons in Manila, Philippines, Oman Health Conference in Muscat, Oman, the S.E. Asian Health Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital and Hospital Selayang in Malaysia, Hamad Hospital Corporation in Doha, Qatar and several Ministry of Health hospitals throughout Kuwait City, Kuwait.
Dr. Baratta has published numerous articles in the field of medicine, specifically in Wounds International journal in the United Kingdom, The International Journal for Prevention and Healing (Advances in Skin and Wound Care). In 2001, he authored A Compendium of Degenerative Brain Diseases with Sections on Neurophysiology and Neuropharmacology published by Charles C. Thomas, LTD. which is used in over 50 medical schools globally. In 2023 he was the managing editor of The Misdiagnosis Casebook in Clinical Medicine published by Springer Nature. Dr. Baratta was the travel medicine writer for The Miami Herald for 5 years.
Dr. Baratta graduated from Lyceum-Northwestern College of Medicine and Surgery in the Philippines and has a Ph.D. (Cum Laude) in Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from LaSalle University.
